Classroom Needs:
Parent Judges: Our Speech meet try-out will be on February 15th from 1-3 in our classroom. We
are in need of some parent judges to come in and help judge the
students’ speeches in order to determine who will go to the speech meet
in Allentown on March 4th. Judges will be provided with a rubric to help score each speech. These scores do NOT effect students’ grades, however they receive a grade for their participation. The more parent judges we have, the better! Students’ speeches must be memorized by this time. If you have any questions, please contact me.
Valentine Box Decorations: We will be decorating our Valentine Mail boxes on February 12th and 13th. If you have any decorating supplies that you would like to donate, we would appreciate them!
From The Teacher's Desk:
Dear Parents,
We will be having our Valentine’s Party on February 14th in the afternoon from 1:40-3:00. Students may bring in Valentine cards for their friends to exchange on that day. We will be making Valentine Mail boxes for each student on Tuesday and Wednesday. Students need to bring in a shoe box to decorate on those days. Student have volunteered to bring in various items for the party. If you cannot send in the item they chose to bring in, just let me know. It is not a problem. If you would like to do a different item, that is also not a problem.
We have been working on an explanatory paper in class for the last two weeks. Students have completed one draft. Their final copy has been homework for the last few nights, and it is due on Monday. Students may type their final copy or have their parents help them if they want to. Handwritten final copies are also accepted.
Have a wonderful weekend!
