Dear Parents and Students,
It is hard to believe July is over and the beginning of the school year is just around the corner. Summer went by so very quickly. We are thrilled to announce that we have scheduled a Senior High School retreat for September 3-5 (Wednesday-Friday). It will take place at Camp Orchard Hill located at 640 Orange Road, Dallas, PA. The staff at Camp Orchard Hill is fully prepared to meet our needs for an exciting, fun-filled time of personal spiritual growth and social interaction away from our school facility.
One of our goals for this year’s retreat is to challenge our students to grow and work together as they become actively involved in worship, group games, and free time. The cabins have air conditioning and heating in them. We will have 6 buffet-style meals served to us in the dining hall. A general indoor meeting area and an outside meeting area (for our bonfire time) will be provided for us to use. The following camp facilities will be available for our students to use: the large gymnasium (that houses 2 basketball courts), the Olympic size swimming pool, the climbing tower, the giant swing, the “Racing Zip Lines” (4 zip lines that run parallel to each other), ball fields, hiking trails, the archery area, the lake (for boating/canoeing), and the game room/snack shop area.
The camp also has the following activities in which our students can become involved throughout our time at Camp Orchard Hill: paintball (additional cost; students may bring their own equipment), skateboarding (skate park on campground; students may bring their own equipment; helmets required), using the camp’s go-carts.
Our students will be at Camp Orchard Hill for 3 days and 2 nights. They will be eating 6 buffet-style meals during their stay at the camp and have access to the varied camp facilities and activities. The actual cost of the retreat is $103.50 per person. It is our desire to keep the cost of this retreat at a reasonable, affordable level; HCS will help subsidize the cost of the retreat for our students.

MEALS.................................... 6 meals will be provided (buffet-style)
COST...................................... $70.00 per student
PAYMENT DUE DATE............. Friday, August 29 (make checks payable to HCS)
